Dr Kiran Kharat is an amazing surgeon and an empathetic person by nature.
He is humble by nature, which is ingrained in the way he interacts and cares for his patients + their family. Dr. Kharat recently successfully performed Partial Knee Replacement for my Mother, and throughout the experience he has stayed by our side always available to answer our queries and help us along.
We could not have chosen a better Doctor and individual for the operation and I'm glad that we crossed paths.
I highly recommend him, not only because of his experience but also because his skills are exceptional and he's a true ally.

I am very grateful to Dr. Kiran. Kharat I was bedridden for one year and was unable to walk, i had lost all my hopes, but doctor counselled me and operated my left knee TKR in 2015 and the right knee TKR in 2016 with unmatched skills and I am so happy to be able to stand on my feet and an able to walk very well without losing my balance. Unfortunately I met with an accident in 2019 but i was so sure that i would not go to any other doctor i called him up and he sought arrangements to perform the required surgery which was a unilateral hip replacement surgery. I am walking and healthy this is all because of the grace of Jesus Christ and the hard work and dedication that doctor Kiran Kharats puts into each of his patients well being. So lucky to have found him.

This review goes to Dr Kiran Kharat,a very well known Orthopaedic surgeon in our very own Pune.. I’m writing this review to thank him from the bottom of my heart. He has been such a helpful person, right from discussing the problem area to guiding us to the right person so that we could get the best possible treatment. He made himself available whenever he was needed at any point of time.. Also made sure the entire surgery went well by being physically present. It is very hard to find such dedicated, caring and helpful doctors in today’s world.. And I cannot thank him enough for all the support he provided us.
Best Regards & Wishes for his Career Ahead...
Thankx

Dr. Kharat performed a very successful hip implant surgery on my wife recently. Clearly an expert at this, Dr. Kharat kept us fully informed about the procedure and assured not just my wife but also the family during the hospitalization. He comes across as extremely knowledgeable and competent we have developed full confidence in him for future treatments. The whole experience was extremely satisfying and I will highly recommend him to anyone looking for an ortho treatment or surgery.

I had approached Dr. Kiran Kharat for my mother's knee replacement. My mother knee replacement in her right leg on 15th September, 2023. My mother was able to walk on the same night. She is recovering well.
Dr. Kiran Kharat is excellent in knee replacement. I found his pre and post-services very effective. I had found him humbled, approachable on WhatsApp, empathetic and knowledgeable.

Dr Kiran Kharat an eminent Orthopedic Surgeon, was highly recommended by my son’s patient, who was extremely satisfied with her knee replacement operation. This enabled me, after consulting with a number of Doctors in Pune, to finally make a decision to have a knee replacement surgery in Ruby Hall. Dr Kharat underscored the importance of Physiotherapy before and after the operation, which was scheduled on Apirl 8 th 2024. Once admitted, I was a bit apprehensive as I didn’t know what to expect in terms of pain management and post operative care. Besides this, I was a trifle nervous about the spinal anesthesia that I would have to take. Needless to say my fears were unwarranted as the 2 injections were given very well . Fortunately, my worry that I would shiver in the OT too was taken of with a warming blanket. I was asked a number of times by a very dedicated Care Team if I was okay. They pedantically looked after every minute detail. This put my mind at ease and I knew then that I was in good hands. Dr Kiran Kharat’s keen follow up and accessibility , the cheerful “Good morning Mrs Mall” and “if you are uncomfortable let us know “ in the OT and “ How are you feeling now?”whilst in the Recovery Room was very reasssuring. Post operation, Dr Kharat and his team whilst doing their hospital rounds, came everyday to see how I was doing. I was touched because we are all cognisant of the fact that surgeons are extremely busy and are hard pressed for time. Doctor is also very approachable and promptly replied to my phone messages. Surprisingly, I only had moderate pain, as Post operative pain was managed very well through the medicines prescribed. Of course, I had to grit my teeth initially, whilst doing the Physiotherapy exercises but it soon got better with each day! Some of the Physiotherapists were very encouraging and that motivated me to try my best. I personally found that having a drink of electral or 2 dates helped me when I felt faint in the first few days. Furthermore, my family’s support and the prayers of all my friends and well-wishers further gave me the strength, the wherewithal, and the energy I needed while I was recuperating. I am continuing Physiotherapy and am shocked at the progress I’ve made... Managed to climb up and down one flight of stairs by the end of the second week. Overall, I am very happy with the decision I made and now 3 weeks later, am walking with a better gait than I was before. I am very thankful to Dr Kharat and his full team for their professional abilities, expertise, and guidance and most of all ... for my new knee!!! I am eagerly looking forward to future long walks, swimming, and playing with my grandkids!

One year back, around this time, my family was a worried bunch. My wife, Sujata, was experiencing considerable pain in her right hip joint, especially while getting up from a sitting position. Initial medical opinion indicated that surgery was inevitable. However, some of our family friends really scared us against surgery and were pitching for physiotherapy alone. The dilemma was resolved by our family doctor Dr Sadanand Borse who advised us to consult Dr Kiran Kharat of RHC for final opinion. On the very first visit Dr Kharat’s pleasing manners, his cheerful disposition, reassuring voice and optimistic confidence removed all our doubts. We decided to go ahead with the surgery for hip joint replacement.
The period prior to operation is usually full of anxiety. But thanks to excellent coordination between various agencies, our initial issues regarding admission, reimbursement from CGHS, other infrastructural support, etc, were admirably tackled by RHC. The surgery was performed by Dr Kiran Kharat at RHC exactly one year back on 28th June 2023. After the operation, Dr Kiran Kharat was kind enough to personally meet me outside the OT and confirm that All is Well!
Undoubtedly, the operation was an unqualified success matching the top quality skills of the Surgeon and his competent team. What followed was really truly impressive. Within a few hours after the operation, on the same day, the expert Physio team of RHC visited the patient and after gentle assistance and persistence made her walk couple of steps! It was almost unbelievable! Then followed a strict routine of exercise and supplements. Dr Kunal Asar, the Physio suggested by RHC was also a genuine expert and ensured that Sujata underwent a rigorous routine of physical exercises daily.
The progress in her overall health, her walking gait, her stamina ….everything was spectacular. Our regular monthly check up by Dr Kharat always boosted our confidence and morale. In fact we both used to always look forward to these meetings! Time flew past and I am happy to see how today Sujata has resumed her normal busy energetic life style. It is as if there never was an operation…notwithstanding the fact that such a big foreign artificial part is insie her body and quietly doing its job!.
Dr Kiran Kharat deserves all the gratitude and applause for this. He has not only cured hundreds of such serious patients but has been instrumental in their psychological rebirth as well - enabling them to start afresh with a new vigour. Today Sujata has not just resumed her normal life, she is able able to look after her 95 year old mother as well! We salute his surgical skills, his temperament, his humility and moreover his infectious cheerful confidence which dispels all fears of illness, however serious they may be.
Our sincere gratitude and best wishes to Dr Kiran Kharat.

Dr. Kiran Kharat conducted my wife’s knee surgery as she suffers from rheumatoid arthritis. I’d like to take this opportunity to share my experience. Dr. Kharat is not just an immensely knowledgeable and skillful surgeon but also someone who inspires a lot of trust in his patients. From the decision to perform surgery, all the way to post-operative care, Dr. Kharat was a pillar of support and he took full care to make sure my wife recovered fully and the process was smooth. I’d like to thank him for all his guidance and help and I can happily recommend him to anyone looking for similar treatment.

I contacted Dr Kiran Kharat after consulting three other doctors..all orthopedic. My mom was writhing in pain..there was a knot behind the knee and the pain was radiating from the back till the heel. All the doctors had a different diagnosis.Dr Kharat examined her and started her on supplements and medications.Mom has arthritis and she is 75.I got her left knee replacement in 2020 in Delhi and this time it was her right knee troubling her.So after two consultations (and subsequent x rays) with Dr Kharat,he came to the conclusion that she needs knee replacement and automatically the baker's cyst would also be taken care of during the surgery. So we decided to do it asap since mom stays alone and wasn't able to perform her daily activities and it was impacting her lifestyle bigtime. But thanks to Dr Kharat and his entire team in Main Ruby, everything was done well including insurance.Very well coordinated. And he himself was in loop for each and every small thing also.
Best part is he is very very approachable on WhatsApp despite his extremely busy schedule.Just a message away at all times..no matter what..great combination of knowledge, skills and humility..rare to find these days.. but we were very lucky to have found him.Yesterday mom went with my son for a follow up to Dr Kharat, exactly two weeks after surgery and all is good.I couldn't go as I wasn't well so Dr Kharat messaged me with her prescription and pic of the stitches. He also messaged "excellent progress".So he keeps you posted with everything at all times .Even after the surgery he sent me the real time images of the implant and various stages of surgery including the coding of the implant.. that's the precision I am talking about.. Don't know which other doctor takes out so much time and energy to share all these.. Really thankful to him for doing what he did..Mom got operated on 15th and she was walking with a walker in the hospital the next day onwards.. amazing 😍
Just to add further..his physiotherapy team takes out videos of the patient exercising to keep him updated with the progress..which he would share with me too.. these are milestones and memories both❤️❤️
So all in all it was a win win situation going to Dr Kharat..I am really proud of my decision to go with him.I am planning my own knee replacement soon as it was due before mom but only one of us could do at a time..so next review will be my own..Big thank you Dr Kiran Kharat 🙏🙏
God bless you and keep you healthy always 🙏😊
A big thank you from mom with loads of blessings....🙌🙌
Gratitude for making an impossible journey so easily possible and perfect💯✨🌟

My mother developed pain in Knee pain 3 years ago on the right leg and was not able to walk properly. We consulted Dr. Kiran Kharat, and he reviewed the X-ray, diagnosed the knee problem and recommended Knee replacement surgery. We were initially worried and scared, however Dr. Kiran explained and gave us confidence. We went through the knee procedure at Columbia Asia and it went smoothly. We had an excellent experience with Dr. Kiran. Clearly, he is one of the best Surgeons of India for all kinds of Orthopaedic related matters. My mother recovered well after the procedure and was able to walk without any problems. She appeared more confident and happiness was evident on her face, as she had a big relief from a painful life.
Last month, my mother started having a similar pain but this time in her left leg. We consulted Dr. Kiran again, he quickly reviewed the state and suggested a similar procedure for her left leg too. Without hesitance she agreed to go ahead with the procedure as she had a comfort feel from the earlier experience. Dr. Kiran performed the Knee replacement procedure for the left leg at Columbia Asia Hospital itself and it went well this time too. Technology has advanced and Dr. Kiran has adapted it well. He provided us with the timely updates about the procedure and recovery status while my Mother was hospitalised. Even after the procedure he reviewed the progress and provided all the guidance for the recovery.
Dr. Kiran is very clear in his communication, generous and kind hearted, yet perfect and expert at his work and knowledge. He is down to earth, prompt and approachable. He understands his domain very well, provides his honest guidance, communicates very well with the patients and offers all kinds of help needed. It's not just the treatment or surgery procedure but he also induces a confidence in the patient which helps with faster recovery. In summary, he is simply unique and works at a level above expectations. I would strongly recommend Dr. Kiran without a second thought for any Ortho issues. I wish him all the best for the kind work he is doing.

Dr Kiran Kharat did a Right Total Hip Replacement Surgery for my mother in 2015. The surgery was so skilfully done and for the first time in years my mother could walk without pain. Infact in three months time she even danced at her grand daughter's wedding without any pain .
As my mother suffers from osteoarthritis when her other hip starting giving her trouble she opted for a Left Total Hip Replacement and once again Dr. Kiran Kharat performed the surgery last month. My mother is 83 year old and he reassured us that there was nothing to worry about despite her age and gave her great confidence. And ...sure enough the surgery is a great success and she is on her way to good recovery. We highly recommend him as an extremely skilful, kind, caring and competent doctor. Thank you Dr. Kiran Kharat for making my mother's life pain free and mobile . Farida Vachha 17 September 2021.

My mother was diagnosed with osteoarthritis about 4 years ago. She had kept on managing the pain and pushing off surgery due to other responsibilities like most selfless mothers do. She also had a crooked knee joint due to a fall in the past.
We met Dr Kiran Kharat recently from a recommended source and he quickly was able to accurately diagnose the extent of the damage of the knee joints; decided that both knees would need to be operated based on the minimization of surgery risk and the condition of other co-morbidities of the patient and status of the knees; left being the worst and first to be operated on and based on the vital signs during surgery the right knee would be replaced. He gave my Mom so much confidence before and during our hospital stay that she was convinced he is the right person to operate on her and willingly underwent the complex surgery. He and his efficient team not only fixed and replaced both the knees but also fixed the crooked knee joint during surgery. He also advised the correct directions before, during and post operative care. He is extremely truthful, transparent and meticulous with his approach.
I have seen countless doctors, hospitals and surgeons from an early age due to family related health issues and was simply amazed at the greatness and simplicity Dr Kiran possesses.
A good Doctor is trained to have the knowledge, expertise, skills and patient care. A good surgeon is required to have all the above with the added stress on “experience, skills and meticulousness”. Dr Kiran exceeds all of the above with a touch of elegance, class compassion and humility. He is undoubtedly the best Orthopedic Surgeon in the country based on my interaction and having seen him working on his other patients. He treats his patients with compassion with a goal to cure their troubles. A Very noble quality in this day and age.
Dr Kiran has a happy and enthusiastic attitude towards his work, patients and clearly based on all the above facts I highly recommend Dr Kiran to give a new life for any patient’s joints who has Othopaedic issues.

We highly recommend Dr Kiran Kharat. Thank you so much Sir! May God bless you 😊

It was on the recommendation of our close family friend Dr. Chandrashekhar Sanghavi that we approached Dr. Kiran Kharat at Ruby Hall Clinic, Wanowrie to seek his opinion about my wife, Sanyukta Dhairyawan’s knee problems. Dr. Sanghavi had spoken very highly about Dr. Kharat so much so that he mentioned if surgery was necessary, he was the only one that he trusted. On the 1st of September, 2021, our day of appointment, we approached Dr. Kharat with trepidation, but one look at him and we realized that we had come to the right person. He explained to us the pros and cons of the imminent surgery after examining the X-rays and we then and there decided upon it without giving it a second thought. Dr. Kharat is extremely thorough and professional in his work. The way he explains to you is very easy to grasp. He has a very charming and easy going exterior. Pleasantly surprising to see a doctor of his stature so extremely down to earth. Not only is he a great doctor but a greater human being. We were completely satisfied with the surgery and I can state with confidence that he is possibly one of the best knee replacement surgeons in the country right now and highly recommend him. He is surely an asset to Ruby Hall Clinic.

I had an ACL tear in my knee in 1995. At the time, I was talked out of any ACL related surgery and was instead asked to do some physiotherapy. I did the physiotherapy then, but this injury was degenerative and I kept having episodes of my knee getting locked or experiencing my knee buckle at times. I was an active club level cricket player at the time and had to give up on my dreams of taking it forward. From 1998-2012, I was in the US and due to the degenerative episodes of the knee, I had to undergo arthroscopy to take care of a torn meniscus in the same knee. Again, I was advised against ACL re-construction by my friends and family from back home. Fast forward to 2015, the knee had gotten worse, the buckling episodes happened unpredictably. I couldn't play TT or run after my toddler either. By now I was in India and through my mom's reference, I decided to consult Dr. Kharat. His clinical diagnosis and then matching it up with what presented in the X-ray or MRI's got me very confident about him. He explains with pictures to the patient in layman's terms of what the injury is and how he intends to fix it. He also exuded confidence and I could visualize getting a good knee post ACL re-construction and getting back to playing active sports. Well, its been 7 years since the surgery and I am very happy to note - that I've started playing badminton, table tennis ( semi-professionally ), cricket and many other sports - which earlier - I'd written off.

I visited Doctor Kharat for my husband's back pain and he instantly referred us to te right doctor (Spine specialist), which helped us big time, as my husband had a critical slip disk, which was supposed to be operated and in no time he was back to normal.
Doctor Kharat was there to help us out at all steps through this tough time and even now :)
Thank you Doctor for being a human :)
